Purpose
These guidelines set clear expectations and best practices for freelancers engaged in remote work to ensure smooth collaboration, quality deliverables, and a professional working relationship.
Engagement Scope
Freelancers will be engaged under a formal contract outlining scope of work, deadlines, payment terms, and intellectual property rights.
Any changes to the scope or timeline must be agreed upon in writing by both parties.
Work Hours & Communication
Freelancers are free to set their own work hours unless otherwise specified by the project agreement.
Regular progress updates are required, typically weekly or at agreed-upon milestones.
All communication should occur through company-approved channels (email, project management tools, or video calls).
Response times should be within 24 business hours unless otherwise agreed.
Deliverables & Quality
Work must meet agreed specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
Revisions may be requested if deliverables do not meet agreed requirements.
Late submissions should be communicated promptly with an updated delivery schedule.
Confidentiality & Security
Freelancers must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before starting work.
Company data, documents, and intellectual property must be kept secure and used solely for the purpose of the project.
Work should not be shared publicly without prior written permission.
Tools & Resources
The company will provide access to necessary project files, systems, or tools as required.
Freelancers are responsible for maintaining their own equipment, software, and internet connection.
Payment & Invoicing
Payment terms (hourly, milestone-based, or fixed-fee) will be defined in the contract.
Invoices must include agreed details and be submitted in a timely manner.
Payments will be made according to the agreed schedule, pending acceptance of deliverables.
Compliance
Freelancers are responsible for managing their own tax obligations and compliance with applicable local laws.
The company will not provide employment benefits unless explicitly stated in the contract.
Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement with notice as outlined in the contract.
Outstanding work completed up to the termination date will be compensated according to agreed terms.
